Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how I&U Smart Tech LLC (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, protects, and discloses information when you visit, register for, or use the ReadyCDL application and website located at readycdl.com (collectively, the “Platform” or “ReadyCDL”).
By creating an account or using ReadyCDL, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not access or use the Platform.
1. Privacy by Design for CDL Drivers
ReadyCDL is engineered with driver privacy as a fundamental feature:
- Anonymous Driver Identification: Available driver profiles are displayed to verified carrier accounts under an anonymous driver code (e.g.,
D-XXXXXX). Your real full name is never exposed publicly to web crawlers. - Gated Contact Information: Your direct phone number and personal email address are stored separately in restricted collections. Carriers can only view your phone and email after purchasing explicit contact access or when you explicitly choose to share it.
- Availability Control: You maintain full control over your visibility. You may switch your status to “Not looking” or set your profile to hidden draft status at any time to pause inquiries.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in several ways depending on how you interact with ReadyCDL:
A. Information You Provide Directly
- Account Registration: Email address, password, and account role (CDL Driver or Fleet Company).
- Driver Qualifications & Preferences: Commercial Driver’s License classification (Class A, Class B), licensing state, experience level, endorsements (HazMat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples, TWIC), preferred equipment (Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, etc.), route preferences (OTR, Regional, Dedicated, Local), target pay, and home time preferences.
- Carrier & Fleet Information: Company name, DOT number, MC number, operating headquarters address, fleet size, hiring criteria, company website, and job posting details.
- Communications: Messages exchanged via ReadyCDL in-app chat, support inquiries, job applications, and safety reports.
B. Payment & Transaction Information
When fleets purchase driver contact access credits or subscription plans, payments are securely processed directly by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. I&U Smart Tech LLC does not collect, store, or process raw credit card numbers or banking details on its servers.
C. Automated Usage & Technical Data
When you browse ReadyCDL, our hosting infrastructure may automatically record device and browser information, including IP address, browser type, operating system, referral URLs, pages viewed, and interaction timestamps to maintain platform security and diagnostic health.
3. How We Use Your Information
I&U Smart Tech LLC uses information collected through ReadyCDL for the following purposes:
- To create, operate, and maintain your ReadyCDL account.
- To facilitate direct connections and job matching between commercial drivers and motor carriers.
- To enforce contact access boundaries and protect confidential driver contact data.
- To process billing transactions and provide purchase receipts via Stripe.
- To investigate reports, prevent fraud, block spam, and uphold marketplace safety standards.
- To respond to customer support inquiries and provide assistance.
- To fulfill statutory, tax, or legal regulatory obligations.
4. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party data brokers. Information is shared strictly in the following circumstances:
- Between Drivers and Carriers on the Platform: When a carrier unlocks authorized contact access for a specific driver, the driver’s phone number and email are unlocked for that carrier. In-app chat messages are shared only with the other participant in that conversation.
- Trusted Service Providers: We share necessary data with trusted vendors who assist in operating our service, including Google Cloud / Firebase (secure cloud hosting and authentication) and Stripe (payment processing). These providers are bound by strict contractual confidentiality.
- Legal and Safety Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the safety, rights, and property of I&U Smart Tech LLC, our users, or the general public.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets of I&U Smart Tech LLC, user information may be transferred as part of the transaction under equivalent privacy protections.
5. Data Security
We employ industry-standard technical, organizational, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or misuse. All data in transit is encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL/TLS) encryption. Access to production databases is restricted and protected with role-based security rules.
6. Data Retention & Your Choices
- Profile Modification: You may update your contact information, CDL qualifications, preferences, or fleet details at any time through your ReadyCDL dashboard.
- Account Deactivation & Deletion: You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated personal data. You can submit a deletion request through our Help page or by emailing our support team.
- Conversation Blocking: You may block any participant in a message thread to prevent future communication through that conversation.
7. Children’s Privacy
ReadyCDL is designed exclusively for commercial motor vehicle drivers holding or pursuing a valid CDL and authorized commercial fleet operators. The Platform is strictly restricted to individuals who are at least 18 years of age (or 21 years of age for interstate commerce). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
I&U Smart Tech LLC reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. When changes occur, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Platform or via the email associated with your account.
